Q: How do I know if Glass City Recycling offers pick-up at my residence?
For now, if you have a Lancaster address, you are eligible to sign up. More pickup areas in Fairfield County coming soon.
Q: When will my recycling be picked up?
Lancaster will be split down the middle at the 33 business route; East side on Mondays,West side on Wednesdays.
Q: Where should I set my recyclables for pick-up?
We will pick up your recyclables from your front curb or at the end of your drive.
Q: Can you pick up appliances and other large recyclables?
While we will work to expand our business, we do not pick up large items at this time.
Q: Where does the money go that you collect from my recyclables?
All money earned from recyclables will be donated to the Community Action.
Q: How do I know what type of plastic I have?
Most plastics contain a recycling symbol with a number in the symbol, which indicates the type of plastic. Unfortunately, because of the chemical composition of plastics #3 through #7, we are unable to accept them at this time. Q: Do I need to sort my recyclables?
Not required but preferred to maximize our recycling effort.
Q: The Litter Prevention and Recycling Center does not recycle plastic bags, what happens to the plastic bag you take my recyclables in?
We collect the plastic bags that we deliver the recyclables in and drop them off a participating location.
Q: Can I set up auto pay?
At this time, auto pay isn't an option.
